Horse Betting Types

Straight Win bet

If you place a bet to Win, you’re betting on a horse to win the race. In order for the horse to win, they must cross the finish line first. It is one of the most common types of horse betting wagers.

Place bet.

When betting on a horse to Place, that horse must either finish first or second in order to win the bet.

Show bet.

Betting in a horse to show, it is the most common bet on horse racing, there you are expecting your horse selected to finished in first, second or third position.

Across the Board (Win, Place & Show)

Betting on a horse to get three bets in one, but if your horse finished 3rd, you collect only on the show bet. If your horse finished 2nd, you collect on two bets; place and show, and If your horse finished 1st, you collect on all three.

Perfecta or Exacta.

A bet placed on two horses but they must cross the finish line in exact chosen order. To bet you say " $3 Exacta, 5-6." Only if the horses finish 5-6 you win.

Perfecta or Exacta Key.

Pick your favorite horse to win, then two or more others to place. To bet you say " $3 Exacta key, 5 with 6,7,9." Only if the horse 5 win the race then 6,7,or 9 in second you win.

Perfecta or Exacta Box.

Horses must finish the race on the two first positions but it doesn’t matter the order.

Straight Trifecta.

Pick the first three horses to cross the finish line in exact order. To bet you say "$2 trifecta numbers 7, 4 and 5." Only if they finish 7-4-5 you win.

Trifecta Key.

Pick your favorite horse to win, then two or more others to place and show in any order. To bet you say "$1 trifecta key on 1 with 2 and 3." You are actually making two $1 bets so your total bet is $2. To win your Key horse must win and the other two came in second or third (1-2-3 or 1-3-2).

Trifecta Box.

Pick three horses to finish first, second and third, in any order. To bet you say "$1 trifecta box 2, 3 and 5." You are actually making six $1 bets, so your total bet is $6. If they finish 2-3-5, 2-5-3, 3-2-5, 3-5-2, 5-2-3 or 5-3-2, you win.

Superfecta.

A bet placed on four horses to cross the finish line in exact chosen order.

Superfecta Key.

Superfecta using one horse as key then 3 or more horses to came in second-third and fourth place, in exact chosen order.

Superfecta Box.

A bet placed on the top four horses to cross the finish line and in this bet the order doesn’t matter. Remember will be charge per combination.
A $1 Superfecta Box with 4 horses will cost $24.

Quiniela.

You can bet on two horses to finish first and second in a single race where the order doesn’t matter – either horse A is first and Horse B is second, or vice versa. To bet you say "$10 quiniela, numbers 3 and 7". If the results of the first two horses are either 3-7 or 7-3, you win.

Quiniela Box.

Pick three or more horses. You win if any two of your selections finish first and second. To bet you say "$2 quiniela box on 4, 5 and 6". You are making three separate bets so your minimum bet is $6. If they finish 4-5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-5, 5-4 or 5-6 you win. You can box as few as three or as many as the field.

The Daily Double.

You win if you pick the winner of the first and second race. To bet you say "$2 daily double on 3 and 5 so (#3 is your pick to win in the first race) (#5 is your pick to win in the second race)". Your bet must be placed before the start of the first race.

Pick 3.

This wager requires the player to pick the winners of three consecutive races. Some race tracks have a rolling pick 3 which is when the player must pick three races in a row and it continues for the next three races.

Pick 4.

This wager requires the player to pick the winners of four consecutive races. Some race tracks have a rolling pick 4 which is when the player must pick four races in a row and it continues for the next four races.

Horse Parlay

On horses we can offer parlays on the three positions: Win Parlay – Place Parlay and Show Parlay, or Across the board Parlay. The most we offer is a three horse parlay.
