Clemson Tigers fire head coach Tommy Bowden

October 13th, 2008 - by Sports Bookie

The Clemson Tigers are really fast! The College Football omen turned into reality way sooner than we thought and Clemson coach Tommy Bowden was fired. Bye bye, Bowden!

Since the news is still hot and full details have not been released, the shock in all College football betting fans is huge. How could they just throw him out with the football season still running? We all expected this to happen, of course, but pretty much at the end of the year.

What happens from now on? It seems assistant head coach Dabo Swinney will be taking over Bowden’s –now- former job, while they find a new official head coach for the team. A very smart move, according to some. And I think that too! There’s no way the Clemson Tigers could suck more than they currently do. So it’s time to find a decent football coach (and hopefully an experienced one) with the skills to change the numbers and make them the most successful team of their Conference again.

Let’s just hope this doesn’t affect Clemson with any kinds of disorganization. Sure, it’s not like they’re on top or anything, but this sudden change has to be compensated with hard work in order to start climbing positions again. In the meantime, I’m already organizing a BBQ at my place for the next Tigers college football game. Who wouldn’t want to watch the first Bowden-less game?

Clemson Tigers fall to Wake Forest – Should Bowden be out?

October 10th, 2008 - by Sports Bookie

Those College Football betting fans following the latest events are already complaining about the poor role played by the Clemson Tigers on Thursday night. All the awful defeats suffered by the team were followed by a 12-7 loss against Wake Forest.

The disappointment is obvious since Clemson has been one of the best football teams in the ACC. Or, at least one of the decent ones that usually make the ACC look a little better. And all the heads have turned to coach Tommy Bowden.

This seems to be the end for Tommy Bowden at Clemson, since many are looking to take him down. Is he really responsible for the past failures? Well, he took the team at one of its best points and seems to be slowly turning it into one more mediocre squad of that Conference. Seriously, how do you think a loss like Thursday’s looks in national television, after being ranked #9?

Anyway, if Bowden is fired, it’s almost for sure it won’t happen until the end of this football Season. So we will have him as the Tigers’ coach for at least six more games. Should he be taken out of the position? If Clemson follows the NFL trend, sure he will be.
