People were staring in intrigue as both players smiled, raising the award together in the NBA All-Star weekend. The former L.A. Lakers teammates Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant worked together and made it happen for the Western Conference to get the victory. It definitely was an All-ego weekend too for these NBA players.
Shaq and Kobe managed to work together and do some great plays so both were nominated to share the MVP, putting some thrill into what many would’ve called “one of the most boring NBAAll-Star Weekends ever”. The lack of interesting action for the All Star Game in Phoenix was a very popular comment, being the Bryant-O’Neal intrigue the only highlight of a game that otherwise would’ve ended up being too dull for the NBA betting fans.
After the MVP award was given to the former teammates, the real show began. Many interviews to them focused on how well they worked as a “team” and how good it would be for them to be playing together again. Both players denied any plans to be a part of the same NBA team, but each one of them with their own style.
Shaq said he felt pretty good about playing with Kobe Bryant, and that it would be great that someday they had the chance to be teammates again. Meanwhile, Kobe and his usual ego made very clear that he’s not considering playing with Shaquille again, and that Shaq had been “looking out for him” during the whole game. At least he admitted it was fun to share the court with the former NBA star (since his performance has been slowly dropping from the pedestal as time goes by).
The West won like it was expected, and Kobe Bryant had the chance to boost his ego… like it was expected too.
