Betting Futures in NBA

February 9th, 2009 - by Sports Bookie

If you’re a rabid sports betting fan following the NBA Season from the very beginning, you probably considered placing a Future bet. These are particularly risky, but they also have their rush of adrenaline when the time comes closer to find out if you did the betting picks right.

Most bettors went for the big favorites of these times: LA Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and of course the Defending Champions Boston Celtics. Others had their hopes on the Pistons or the Mavs. But some other teams surprised everyone by standing among the top teams of their Conference. This is the case of the Denver Nuggets, which have been usually good, but right now they’re just one step behind the Lakers. Even though the Nuggets didn’t seem like a very safe wager to make when betting futures, all the NBA fans that saw their potential are close to a possible celebration.

If you’re making NBA future bets and don’t feel like risking too much, maybe going for the players could be a better option. We all know who the biggest NBA stars are: the Lakers always controversial Kobe Bryant and the Cavaliers’ King, LeBron James. So unless a new, unexpected superstar appears out of any other team, your options are pretty much narrowed down to those 2.  It doesn’t mean those are the only good players in the NBA, but they’re definitely the strongest candidates to take the MVP Award home. And that’s something you could’ve seen coming since the beginning of the 2008-2009 NBA Season.

So which team will be the golden pick for NBA futures? Is it possible that the Celtics get those honors for 2 years in a row? Will the Lakers take the title they let go this time? Or is it going to be a different team that breaks down all those expectations? You’d better check your NBA future bets, maybe it’s time to deeply analyze your possibilities to win.
