Tom Rathman goes back to the 49ersTom Rathman has confirmed, while clearing out his belongings at the Raiders‘ complex, that he has accepted the San Francisco 49ers offer, a team he actually played for before as NFL fullback and as part of the coaching staff.

The San Francisco 49ers however waited until Rathman signed the NFL coaching contract to send press releases and official announcements. Tom Rathman will be taking over for Tony Nathan, whom was fired after his only season on the 49ers‘ staff. It has been known that 49ers fans seem incredibly happy with the news.

Tony Nathan was an NFL running back for the Miami Dolphins back in the 80’s however the 49ers team was not entirely happy with his performance as a coach and was fired on December 30th last year.

The San Francisco 49ers are apparently still missing an offensive coordinator but, San Francisco coach Mike Singletary has not released any information regarding possible prospects for the job. Mike Martz former offensive coordinator for the 49ers will not be coming back this year to play for the 49ers since Singletary reportedly wants more of a “ball-control, run-oriented offense” than Martz game.

More NFL changes are showing up just weeks prior to the Super Bowl, and we can all feel the heat, especially with the stress of the NFL playoffs going on. We certainly expect the best from this NFL change and wait to see a good difference in their game.
