After all this wait, the 2008 NFL Season is finally here! Well, not yet… but in less than a week we will have the chance to enjoy again the rush and the excitement of some good American Football. Did you check the NFL Schedule? If not, here’s what you have to know about the first games.
The first game will be next Thursday, September 4th, at 7:00PM (ET). The current NFL Champions, the New York Giants, will face a new and improved Washington Redskins team. Not a bad start at all!!
On Sunday, full-time action! Starting at 1:00PM, 18 teams will be battling to get their first victory. One of the most expected games for that day is the New York Jets game against the Miami Dolphins. Will Brett Favre shine as much as his fans are expecting? The truth is lots of Pro Football fans already have their NFL tickets for that game.
Last, but not least, is a great game to expect at 8:15 PM: in what will look like a rerun of the Super Bowl XLI, the Indianapolis Colts will face the Chicago Bears. A great way to finish your NFL betting day.
So, stop making plans for your weekends. You know you’ll be watching NFL Football all day. Remember what it was like? I know you want to feel that rush of adrenaline again!
The NFL Season 2008 kickoff is near and anything could happen this year. Everybody is looking for the favorite and there are NFL Stats and reviews everywhere to study which the best teams could be. But if there’s a team that has everyone talking, that’s the New York Jets.
Their biggest acquisition has been Brett Favre, no doubt about that. His recent debut with the new NFL team wasn’t disappointing at all, even though the Jets lost the game. But is Favre really the best choice they could’ve made?
Yes, we know. Experience and all the great qualities that make Brett Favre the Pro Football hero he is today. But after all these years, his productive life on ProFootball has … what, like 2 years left at most? Is that deal really worth it?
The thing is, having Favre on the roster has made the Jets one of the most popular NFL teams for this 2008 Football Season. The team looks stronger and has better chances of getting pretty far on their Conference. Many people who didn’t even remember that they existed will probably place a couple of bets on them. Will it be as good as it sounds? Time will tell us how smart that choice was.
These 2008 Beijing Olympics have given a lot to talk about. Especially for soccer fans, who enjoyed an incredible game between Argentina and Brazil. The big surprise was to see the Brazilian squad defeated… with no goals scored!
Argentina surprised with 3 goals, scored by Sergio Aguero (who scored 2) and one by Juan Riquelme thanks to a penalty.Even with the big advantage of having top-class players like Messi, Batista has made an excellent job as a coach in Argentina, while Dunga will have to face tough critics of his performance as coach of what’s supposed to be one of the best soccer teams in the world.
The Brazilian soccer team has had some bad results lately (before the Olympics there were awful soccer scores showing), and yesterday’s game was one of the biggest failures. Even if they actually win the bronze medal on the game against Belgium, their performance will be remembered as a very poor one, very unlike the usual Brazil.
Let’s see what happens with Dunga and his team. If they continue the way the have been doing it… we will probably have to find other favorites for the next World Cup.
