Tennis fans are not going to leave the house this weekend. Who would want to be out with all the Davis Cup action going on? April 11th-13th is for the World Group 2008 Quarterfinals.
The rush already started with an amazing victory by Russia over Czech Republic. Marat Safin showed his best skills on a five-set match, beating Tomas Berdych 6-7, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.

It was a surprising result considering that Berdych is number 9 in the world and his performance is just brilliant. However, Tomas flawless game began to fade around the third set, when Safin himself said he took the opportunity when Berdych started to miss shots and got a little nervous. These are big words coming from a small enigmatic player that seemed to have more luck than skills (at least compared to Tomas Berdych), but it’s still fair. In the end, he was the winner and we all got shocked by that. Is Marat Safin finally back?
There are more great matches worldwide to come. If you don’t want to miss anything, stay tuned with www.daviscup.com .
