How different is to watch NFL games than other sports like, lets say, golf. All of us Football betting fans are used to the never ending controversy and one scandal after another. NFL players live from a very popular sport and shocking news and events aren’t so shocking anymore.
But when it comes to Golf, it’s a completely different story. Of course a good golf tournament can be really interesting and watching Tiger Woods play is great. But we have to say that, if NFL is like an angry sea storm, the Golf world rests peacefully like a serene lake. That’s why they make such a fuzz out of any stupid thing that happens. And that’s exactly what’s been going on now that Kelly Tilghman was suspended from the Golf Channel.

There was a huge scandal about a comment made by Tilghman, a Golf Channel’s anchor, during one of her broadcasts where she suggested (joking, obviously) as a way for young players to top Tiger Woods that they lynched him in a back alley. In the NFL, it wouldn’t have been a real offense unless she spits him on the face or something. Yes, we know the comment was a little bid acid and all but, should that really cost her a suspension? Come on, we’ve seen and heard way worse. It’s funny how people laugh their asses out if some stand-up comediant, actor or even other anchors say something cruel about the President or Britney Spears, but Tiger Woods has become such an idol that they actually penalize any jokes that include him.
Apparently the comment was just too insensitive and offensive for the Network. So, they’re not going to fire her, but Kelly Tilghman got suspended for 2 weeks. That just confirms Golfers have no sense of humor. (It’s a JOKE!). To be honest, I don’t think Tiger Woods himself could actually feel so upset about it. The freaking joke was actually saying that he was so damn good that beating him up would be the only way to stop him. But oh, well. The Golf world is so quiet that any little thing that is not so proper and high-class done is going to be seriously punished. Good luck to Tilghman, but I would suggest she could start looking for a job as a Football anchor (or even Boxing).

NFL Postseason is getting pretty interesting. The New England Patriots not only got away with a completely clean record (16-0), but they keep collecting awards like toys from a cereal box. New England’s super star Tom Brady was just awarded as the AP Offensive player of the Year. The perfect add for the MVP title. By the way, Brady is the first New England player to get both of these. Not bad at all, huh?

The Patriots will continue with the good games on Saturday when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars, as they just beat the Steelers on the Wild Card game. This will be a fight for Divisional Playoffs and, even when many don’t even bother to bet on whoever plays against the Patriots, this could be a very exciting game. The Jaguars didn’t get a big point difference over Pittsburgh but they still pull a decent game. However, we know New England will fight to keep the perfect record, an achievement that has only been made by Miami more than 30 years ago. If that actually happens, this could be the best NFL Season ever for the Patriots and their football betting fans.
The San Diego Chargers are the other ones that have to prepare for the next game against a big team. On Sunday, they will be playing against the Indianapolis Colts (defending Champions, in case someone forgot during all this Patriots fuzz). If things go as most of people assume, we will have an interesting Conference Championship fight between Indianapolis and New England. When they met last time, the Colts lost the game, but I’m pretty sure they won’t let it happen so easily again. You don’t miss one detail when your chance to be one of the contenders at the next Super Bowl depends on it.
So, that’s how things are going at AFC. These guys are getting the greatest expectations, and are games that you definitely don’t want to miss. Besides, what the hell could you posibly want to do during these weekends rather than follow the NFL Playoffs?
